Material: Reinforced technical rubber (compound based on SKI-3 or SKEPT rubber), resistant to atmospheric effects, ozone, and oils
Technical parameters:
Rubber pad for turnout PS-3 — an element of the railway superstructure designed for installation under the support components of a turnout. It provides shock absorption, equal load distribution on the sleeper, and electrical insulation of metal parts. The pad is used to increase the service life of the turnout and reduce dynamic loads from rolling stock.
The PS-3 pad is manufactured in accordance with DSTU 2805-94 (SP-717-01) from high-strength reinforced rubber. Its design ensures uniform load distribution between the metal turnout components and the sleeper, preventing damage and providing elastic support. The surface is ribbed to prevent displacement under vibration and track oscillations.
PS-3 pads are used in the installation of turnouts of types SPR-50, SPR-65, and SPR-85. They are installed under metal components of the turnout assembly (supports, frogs, baseplates, chairs) to reduce sleeper wear and ensure uniform load distribution. Applied on mainline, station, and industrial tracks, including turnouts with electric or manual operation.
