Tie bolt M30×473 is a heavy-duty rail and turnout fastening element used for connecting and tightening massive track components such as stock rails, guard rails, switch shoes, and other assemblies. It provides high joint rigidity and reliable fixation under significant axial and vibrational loads. It is used on mainline, station, and industrial tracks during turnout installation.

Description and design

The tie bolt is manufactured in accordance with 106.02.007-2 (GOST 7817-80) from structural steel with heat treatment that ensures strength and ductility. The bolt design includes a hexagonal head and an extended shank with partial threading, allowing tightening force to be evenly distributed along the entire length of the connected components. It is used together with heavy-duty nuts and reinforced washers to ensure uniform clamping of turnout assemblies.

The bolt material withstands tensile loads of up to 250–300 kN;
Quenching and tempering provide strength under cyclic loads;
The extended smooth shank prevents deformation during tightening;
The coating protects the metal from corrosion under atmospheric conditions;
Service life — more than 25 years under standard track operating conditions.

Application

Tie bolts M30×473 are used during assembly and installation of turnouts, connection of stock rails and guard rails, fixation of switch points, and in other high-load railway structural joints. They are applied on station, mainline, and industrial lines where high tightening strength is required. Compatible with M30 nuts and reinforced washers in accordance with GOST 6402 and GOST 11371.
