Bolt M24×120 — a standard threaded fastener used in railway rail fastenings, joint and clamp connections, as well as in the installation of turnouts. It provides strong and reliable fastening of track superstructure elements, resistant to dynamic and vibration loads.

Description and design

Bolt M24×120 is manufactured in accordance with DSTU GOST 11530-93 from carbon or alloy steel with heat treatment. The design includes a hexagonal head and a metric threaded shank. Bolts may have partial or full thread, depending on the application conditions. The surface is protected with zinc, oxide, or phosphate coating to prevent corrosion during outdoor operation.

Manufactured with precise tolerances for thread and length;
Quenched and tempered to increase strength and metal toughness;
Can be supplied complete with nuts and washers (flat, spring, double-coil);
Withstands axial loads up to 200 kN;
Service life — more than 20 years under standard track loads.

Application

Bolt M24×120 is used for assembling rail joints, installing fishplates, fastening base plates, clamp elements, and other components of the railway track superstructure. It is applied in rail fastening systems of types KB, KBL, KP, as well as in the installation of turnouts. Used on mainline, station, and industrial railway lines.
