Since 2010, Prombudkoliya has been carrying out elimination of track settlements and defects on mainline, industrial, and station railway sections. All works are performed in accordance with Ukrzaliznytsia regulations and DBN standards, using modern track machinery, geodetic control, and certified materials.
Track settlements and defects occur due to ballast wear, loss of subgrade compaction, uneven rolling stock loads, climatic factors, and insufficient drainage. Without timely repair, these deformations lead to track geometry violations, increased vibration, and emergency situations.
Visual and instrumental inspections are carried out to identify settlement zones, misalignments, and damage to sleepers or rails. Geodetic instruments, flaw detectors, and track measurement systems are used.
Removal of weakened soil, restoration of the sub-ballast layer, base compaction, and construction of drainage channels are performed. Where required, geotextiles and high-strength crushed stone are used.
Mechanized alignment and tamping of sleepers are carried out to restore the design track geometry. VPO-3000, VPRS machines, and ballast regulators are used. Works are performed with high precision based on geodetic data.
Cleaning or replacement of contaminated ballast, layer-by-layer compaction of new material, formation of the ballast prism, and profile leveling are performed. This ensures track stability and uniform load distribution.
Damaged sleepers, joint bars, bolts, and fastening elements are replaced. Where necessary, rail welding or partial rail replacement is carried out. All components are checked for proper seating and stability.
After defect elimination, track stabilization is performed to fix the new position and prevent repeated settlements. Dynamic stabilizers and ballast vibration compaction are applied.
Alignment and stabilization of a 6 km track section, drainage restoration, and ballast replacement were performed. Works were completed within 14 days without stopping train traffic.
Subgrade settlement elimination, sleeper tamping, and track stabilization were carried out. The result was restoration of the design profile and smooth rolling stock operation.
