Technical specifications:
Claw bolts are specialized fastening components used in turnouts and rail assemblies to secure stock rails, guard rails, as well as shoes and plates. The bolt design ensures reliable fixation due to the claw-type head, which prevents rotation during installation. They are used on mainline, station, and industrial railway tracks.
Claw bolts are manufactured in accordance with TU 32-TsP-395-84 from alloy structural steel with heat treatment. A distinctive feature of the design is the flat claw-type head with lateral lugs, which is fixed in the slot of a rail element or metal component. This ensures bolt stability during nut tightening and eliminates the need to hold the head with a tool. The bolt is supplied with a nut and a washer (spring or double-coil).
Claw bolts are used during assembly and installation of turnouts (SPR-50, SPR-65), as well as for fastening guard rails and shoes to stock rails. They are applied on turnout sections, curves, bridges, and industrial tracks. The bolts provide a strong and stable connection of components that are subjected to transverse and longitudinal loads from rolling stock.
