Fishplate 1R-50 — a railway track component designed for joining R-50 type rails at track joints. It ensures a reliable connection, uniform load distribution, and geometric stability of the gauge. Used in the construction and maintenance of mainline, station, and industrial railway tracks.

Description and design

The 1R-50 fishplate is manufactured in accordance with DSTU 8790:2018 (GOST 33184-2014) from structural steel with subsequent heat treatment and mechanical machining of the working surfaces. The fishplate profile matches the shape of the R-50 rail, ensuring tight contact and load transfer along the entire joint length. Bolt holes are provided for the installation of joint bolts and washers.

Manufactured by hot forging or rolling followed by machining;
Working surfaces are milled to ensure precise contact with the rail;
Bolt holes are produced with high accuracy to prevent rail displacement;
Coating — anticorrosion or protective oil coating (on request);
Service life — at least 30 years under standard operating loads.

Application

1R-50 fishplates are used when laying R-50 rails on railway lines, industrial tracks, stations, and depots. They provide joint strength and stability under dynamic loads from rolling stock. Applied together with joint bolts M24×150 and rail washers in accordance with DSTU 11532:2017.
