Technical parameters:
Insulated rail joint R-65 — a set of components designed to create insulated joints for R-65 rails in railway automatic block, interlocking, and signaling systems. It provides a strong mechanical connection of rails and reliable electrical insulation between them under all operating conditions.
The R-65 insulated rail joint is manufactured in accordance with DSTU 4344:2004 and consists of two steel fishplates, insulating pads, bushings, and fastening elements. The fishplates are made of high-strength structural steel 09G2S, with a profile fully matching the geometry of the R-65 rail. Dielectric pads and bushings installed between the elements prevent electrical current flow between rails and bolts. The design maintains its insulating properties under temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and high humidity.
The R-65 insulated rail joint is used on mainline, station, and turnout sections of railway tracks equipped with automatic block, interlocking, and signaling systems. It is applied to separate electrical track sections and isolate adjacent rails while preserving the mechanical strength of the joint.
