Tram fishplate T-62 is an element of the tram track superstructure designed for joint connection of T-62 type tram rails. It ensures mechanical strength and precise alignment of rail profiles, maintaining smooth vehicle movement and track gauge stability during tram operation.

Description and design

Joint fishplates T-62 are manufactured in accordance with GOST 977-88 from structural steel with heat treatment that provides increased strength and wear resistance. The fishplate profile is designed to match the geometry of the T-62 tram rail and ensures tight contact along the rail head and web. Bolt holes of standard diameter are positioned with high accuracy to guarantee proper alignment without displacement.

Working surfaces are milled to ensure tight rail contact;
Steel with tensile strength not less than 420 MPa is used;
Surface protected with anti-corrosion or phosphate coating;
Permitted operating temperature range: from –50 °C to +60 °C;
Service life of at least 25 years under intensive operation.

Application

T-62 fishplates are used in construction and maintenance of tram tracks, as well as for connecting straight and curved rail sections. They are applied on urban tram routes with T-62 rails, both in concrete and ballast track structures. Installation is performed using M24 bolts and track washers in accordance with DSTU 11532:2017.
