About the Company

Since 2010, Prombudkoliya has been providing professional diagnostics and repair of diesel engines for diesel locomotives, railway equipment, and industrial machinery. We specialize in complete overhaul and restoration of engines of the D50, D49, 6ChN21/21, 1D12, 3D6, 3D12 series, as well as other domestic and foreign engine models.

All work is carried out at our own repair facilities using certified equipment, original spare parts, and test benches. After repair, each engine undergoes running-in and load testing.

Diagnostic and Repair Services

Comprehensive Diagnostics

A complete assessment of the engine’s technical condition is performed, including compression measurement, oil pressure analysis, temperature monitoring, and inspection of the piston group and fuel system. Electronic and mechanical diagnostic methods are used to accurately determine the cause of malfunctions.

Disassembly and Defect Inspection

After diagnostics, the engine is dismantled, fully disassembled, and all components are inspected for defects. The cylinder block, cylinder heads, crankshaft, camshaft, pistons, valves, and fuel equipment are examined. Based on the inspection results, a technical condition report and repair plan are prepared.

Major Overhaul of Diesel Engines

The overhaul includes cylinder boring, crankshaft grinding, replacement of bearings, pistons, piston rings, valves, and injectors. Fuel system adjustment, installation of new seals, filters, and bearings are performed. After assembly, the engine undergoes bench testing and parameter calibration.

Routine Repair and Maintenance

Replacement of individual units, adjustment of fuel injection and cooling systems, elimination of leaks, and idle speed and fuel supply tuning are carried out. Work can be performed either on-site at the customer’s facility or in workshop conditions.

Testing and Commissioning

After assembly, the engine is tested under load with monitoring of pressure, temperature, and power output. Running-in and final adjustments are performed before installation on a locomotive or stationary unit.

Completed Project Examples

Major Overhaul of a D49 Diesel Engine for a TEM18 Locomotive (Dnipro, 2023)

Complete defect inspection was performed, with replacement of the piston group and injectors, crankshaft grinding, and fuel equipment adjustment. The engine successfully passed testing at a rated power of 880 kW.

Diagnostics and Repair of a 1D12 Engine (Poltava Region, 2022)

Cooling system leaks were eliminated, gaskets and bearings replaced, and the fuel injection pump adjusted. The engine was commissioned without remarks.

Major Overhaul of a 6ChN21/21 Generator Diesel Engine (Zaporizhzhia, 2021)

A complete overhaul was carried out with replacement of connecting rod and main bearings, valves, and injectors. Testing confirmed full restoration of power output and fuel consumption parameters.
