Standard: TU U 30.2-31932840-002:2021 (GOST 8194-75)
Product type: Rail baseplate SD-65
Material: Structural carbon steel St5 or St4, hot-rolled, heat-treated, with anti-corrosion coating
Technical parameters:
SD-65 baseplate is an element of the railway track superstructure designed for installation under R-65 type rails on wooden sleepers. It ensures reliable rail fastening, uniform load distribution to the sleeper, and track gauge stability under rolling stock with high axle loads. It is used on mainline and station tracks with intensive traffic.
SD-65 baseplates are manufactured in accordance with TU U 30.2-31932840-002:2021 (GOST 8194-75) from hot-rolled structural steel with subsequent heat treatment to improve strength and wear resistance. The design features a profile matching the rail foot of R-65 rails and four holes for spikes or screws. Oval holes compensate for thermal rail movements, while round holes provide rigid fastening.
SD-65 baseplates are used for laying R-65 rails on wooden sleepers on mainline and industrial railway tracks, as well as in turnout areas and station sections. They are used together with KB-65 and KBL-65 fastening systems, 16×165 mm rail spikes, and 24×150 mm screws.
