SPR-50 1/11 — a manually operated turnout switching mechanism designed for operating 1/11 turnouts on mainline, industrial, and station railway tracks. It provides manual control of the switch points and reliable locking in the operating position.

Description and design

The SPR-50 1/11 mechanism is manufactured according to an individual project and DSTU standards and is used on turnouts with R-50 rails. The design includes a housing, a shaft with a drive sector, a wedge-type locking device, a traction system, and a hand lever with a ratchet mechanism that ensures smooth movement of the switch points.

Housing made of cast iron with a sealed gearbox unit;
Two-position locking of the turnout — straight and diverging route;
Force transmission to the switch points via a system of shafts and articulated rods;
Compatible with a switch position indicator and a locking device;
Operating temperature range: –40 °C to +50 °C.

Application and features

The SPR-50 1/11 mechanism is used on tracks with medium to high traffic intensity, including turnouts serving main lines and industrial access tracks. It is installed on a concrete or steel base and connected to the switch points via a traction linkage system.
