Since 2010, Prombudkoliya has been carrying out a comprehensive range of works aimed at improving the reliability of railway tracks and permanent way elements. We implement technical solutions focused on track stabilization, reinforcement, and modernization to ensure long-term and safe operation.
All works are performed in accordance with the requirements of Ukrzaliznytsia, DBN V.2.3-19, and the technical specifications of material and equipment manufacturers.
Improving track reliability is a set of measures aimed at extending the service life of railway infrastructure, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring structural stability under dynamic loads. These measures are especially relevant for industrial and mainline routes with high traffic intensity.
Stabilization and compaction of subgrade soils are performed using geotextile and geogrid materials. Drainage and water removal systems are installed to prevent erosion and settlements.
Cleaning, washing, and partial or full replacement of contaminated ballast are carried out. Areas of uneven compaction and fouling are eliminated, and crushed stone is added with profile leveling of the track.
Worn wooden or reinforced concrete sleepers are replaced with reinforced types featuring increased resistance to vibration and loads. Modern anchoring fastening systems are applied.
New fishplates are installed, bolted joints are reinforced, joint welding and rail surface grinding are performed. The goal is to reduce impact loads and extend rail service life.
Cleaning and reconstruction of drainage ditches, pipes, and channels are carried out. Additional drainage lines are created to remove water from the ballast and subgrade zones.
Track lining and tamping are performed, longitudinal and transverse profiles are restored, and turnouts are leveled. Instrumental geometry control is carried out after completion.
Special mastics, lubricants, and protective coatings are used for rails and fastenings. Vibration-damping elements and anti-corrosion systems are installed.
Subgrade stabilization and replacement of contaminated ballast were carried out over a 2.1 km section. New sleepers and anchoring fastenings were installed, and the drainage system was restored.
Joint welding, rail grinding, track profile adjustment, and installation of anti-corrosion protection were performed. Ride smoothness and load-bearing capacity of the track were improved.
Frogs were replaced, leveling and adjustment were performed, and worn fastenings were replaced. Instrumental geometry control of the turnout was carried out.
They are recommended when track deformations, settlements, sleeper wear, fastening loosening, or drainage issues are identified, as well as after major repairs to consolidate achieved results.
Geogrids, geotextiles, crushed stone (25–60 mm fraction), anchor sleepers, compaction mixtures, and drainage materials certified according to Ukrzaliznytsia standards are used.
Yes, on certain sections the works can be carried out during maintenance windows without full traffic shutdown, while fully complying with safety requirements.
Track stability and ride smoothness are improved, rail and sleeper wear is reduced, track service life is extended by 5–10 years, and operational risks are minimized.
