Restoration of bogies, installation of new bearings, suspension springs, axleboxes, and brake components. This improves stability, ride smoothness, and reduces wheelset wear.
Abrasive blasting, anti-corrosion treatment, repainting, and application of corporate livery. Replacement of cable routes, exterior lighting, and impact-protection elements may also be performed.
The D50 diesel engine was replaced with an electronically controlled power unit; the generator and brake system were upgraded, and new control panels and an air-conditioning system were installed in the cab. Fuel consumption was reduced by 18%.
