Product type: Turnout frog (crossing)
Material: Steel grades 110G13L, 20KhGT, or 20GL — cast or rolled, with heat treatment and hardened working surface
Technical parameters:
Turnout frog (crossing) is a key element of a railway turnout, designed for crossing and guiding rail tracks when rolling stock is transferred from one track to another. It ensures smooth and safe passage of wheelsets through the rail intersection zone. Frogs are used on mainline, station, and industrial railway lines as part of various turnout configurations.
The frog is manufactured in accordance with GOST TU U 30.2-31932840-001:2021 and consists of a nose (point) and wing rails connected to the stock rails. The design may be assembled (from rolled rail elements) or solid cast, made of high-strength steel. The running surfaces are subjected to hardening treatment, providing high wear resistance and resistance to impact loads.
Turnout frogs are used in all types of railway turnouts (SPR-50, SPR-65, SPR-85, etc.) on public and industrial railways. They provide rail crossing and wheel guidance and are installed in both assembled and solid cast turnouts on sections with various speeds and axle loads.
