Standard: GOST 78-2004
Product type: Unimpregnated wooden sleepers
Material: Softwood timber (pine, spruce, larch) with natural moisture content
Technical parameters:
Unimpregnated wooden sleepers — elements of the railway track superstructure made from untreated softwood timber, intended for installation on temporary, construction, and access railway lines. They are used in locations where long-term track operation is not required or where conditions allow operation without antiseptic protection.
The sleepers are manufactured in accordance with GOST 78-2004 from solid softwood timber (pine, spruce, larch) with natural moisture content. They are processed to the dimensions of Types 1, 2, or 3 depending on the track category. Unimpregnated sleepers do not undergo antiseptic treatment, which simplifies production and reduces cost, but requires more careful selection of operating conditions and protection from moisture.
Unimpregnated sleepers are used for construction, temporary, technological, and access railway tracks, as well as on sections with a limited service life. They are applied in industrial zones, warehouses, forest roads, construction sites, and other facilities where there is no continuous movement of heavy rolling stock.
