Material: Heavy concrete of classes B30–B35 with pre-stressed reinforcement (Vr-II wire, K7 strands)

Used reinforced concrete sleepers — sleepers that have previously been in service, inspected and deemed suitable for secondary use in the repair, reconstruction, and construction of railway tracks. After dismantling, the sleepers are cleaned, sorted, and undergo geometry and strength inspection in accordance with the requirements of DSTU V.2.6-209:2016 (GOST 10629-88).

Description and condition

Used reinforced concrete sleepers are intended for installation on access, construction, temporary, and technological railway tracks. They are made of durable reinforced concrete and retain high performance characteristics after primary use. Before sale, each batch is inspected for cracks, chips, structural damage, and defects of anchor seats.

Visual and mechanical inspection of each sleeper;
Residual concrete strength — not less than 80% of the design value;
No critical damage to reinforcement or anchor elements;
Compatibility with rail types R-50 and R-65;
Secondary service life — up to 20 years depending on operating conditions.

Application

Used reinforced concrete sleepers are widely applied in the construction of temporary and low-traffic railway lines, access tracks, industrial branches, storage areas, dead-end tracks, and technological zones. They are also used in construction works for foundations for machinery, decks, retaining walls, and fencing.

Cost efficiency — 2–3 times cheaper than new products;
Preservation of strength characteristics and geometric stability;
Durability when used under moderate loads;
Possibility of reuse at facilities of various purposes;
Compliance with Ukrzaliznytsia requirements for residual strength and concrete integrity.
