Fishplate R-18 is an element of the railway track superstructure designed for reliable joint connection of R-18 type rails. It ensures track reliability and geometric stability on low-traffic, access, and technological railway lines, as well as on narrow-gauge sections and industrial railways.

Description and Design

fishplates R-18 are manufactured in accordance with GOST 8141-56 from structural steel followed by heat treatment. The fishplate profile fully matches the R-18 rail, providing tight contact with the rail web and base. Bolt holes are drilled with precise spacing, preventing displacement during installation.

The profile geometry ensures uniform load distribution along the entire joint length;
Working surfaces are mechanically machined (milling, grinding);
The product withstands axle loads up to 80 kN per axle;
The surface is protected with an anti-corrosion coating (phosphating or painting);
Service life is at least 25 years when track maintenance standards are observed.

Application

R-18 fishplates are used in the construction of light-duty industrial, construction, and access railway tracks, as well as internal plant and mining railways. They are applied for connecting R-18 rails using standard joint bolts, washers, and nuts.
