Material: Structural steel 09G2S or St3, hot-rolled, heat-treated, with anti-corrosion coating
Technical parameters:
SD-50 rail baseplate is a track superstructure element designed for installation under R-50 type rails on wooden sleepers. It ensures uniform distribution of rail pressure, prevents sleeper wear, and improves track stability. It is used on mainline, station, and industrial railway tracks.
The SD-50 baseplate is manufactured in accordance with TU U 30.2-31932840-002:2021 (GOST 12135-75) from hot-rolled structural steel. The design features a profile matching the R-50 rail foot and four fixing holes: two oval holes to compensate for thermal rail movements and two round holes for secure fastening. The baseplate provides tight contact with the sleeper and prevents loosening of fastenings.
SD-50 baseplates are used when laying railway tracks with R-50 rails on wooden sleepers. They are applied on general-purpose and industrial lines, including stations, access tracks, and turnout areas. Compatible with KB-50 and KBL-50 fastening systems, as well as 16×165 mm rail spikes or 24×150 mm rail screws.
