Description and application

After dismantling from main lines, the rails undergo visual inspection, ultrasonic flaw detection and wear assessment. Depending on the degree of wear, they are classified into three categories. Category I rails are permitted for industrial and access tracks, Category II for low-traffic sections and technological lines, and Category III for temporary and construction railway tracks.
