Technical parameters:
Insulated rail joint R-50 — a set of components designed to create insulated joints for R-50 rails in railway automatic block, electric interlocking, and signaling systems. It ensures high mechanical strength of the joint while providing complete electrical isolation between adjacent track sections.
The R-50 insulated rail joint set is manufactured in accordance with TU U 25.2-31236182-005-2004 and includes steel fishplates, electrical insulating pads, bushings, and fasteners. The fishplates are made of 09G2S steel and coated with an insulating compound. Insulating pads made of fiberglass laminate, PTFE (fluoroplastic), or polyamide are installed between the metal elements, eliminating metal-to-metal contact. The design maintains its insulating properties under prolonged dynamic loads and harsh climatic conditions.
The R-50 insulated rail joint is used on railway lines equipped with signaling, automatic block, and electric interlocking systems. It is installed at rail joint locations to electrically separate track circuits. Suitable for station areas, open line sections, and turnouts.
