1R-65 used fishplate — a previously used railway track component intended for secondary use in joining R-65 type rails. It ensures joint strength and stability under dynamic loads and is applied during repair, reconstruction, and installation of temporary railway lines.

Description and condition

Fishplates of type 1R-65 are manufactured in accordance with DSTU 8848:2019 from structural steel with subsequent heat treatment. After dismantling, the products undergo sorting, cleaning, and condition inspection. Only fishplates free from cracks, cavities, chips, and excessive wear of working surfaces, with preserved geometry and bolt holes, are approved for reuse.

The profile fully corresponds to the R-65 rail;
Surfaces are cleaned of contamination and corrosion;
Permissible residual wear in thickness — not more than 2 mm;
Condition control is carried out in accordance with GOST 3377-84 and internal regulations of Ukrzaliznytsia;
Service life after reinstallation — up to 15 years under normal operating conditions.

Application

Used 1R-65 fishplates are applied for joining R-65 rails on industrial, construction, access, and temporary tracks. They are used during rehabilitation works and track modernization where secondary materials are acceptable. Installation is performed with joint bolts M24×150 or M27×160 and track washers according to DSTU 11532:2017.
