Since 2010, Prombudkoliya has been providing technical maintenance and repair of running gear for diesel locomotives, industrial locomotives, and railway equipment. All work is carried out in accordance with Ukrzaliznytsia technical regulations, DBN standards, and original equipment manufacturer requirements. Every assembly undergoes geometric inspection and testing on specialized test benches.
The running gear of a diesel locomotive is a critical assembly that absorbs the main dynamic loads during operation. Regular maintenance prevents excessive wear, improves track stability, reduces vibration, and extends the service life of rolling stock. Includes visual inspection, measurement of wear on axles, springs, axlebox housings, checking clearances and geometry. If required, ultrasonic flaw detection and wheelset runout measurements are performed.
Replacement of bearings, seals, and lubricants; inspection of axle journals and covers. If damage is detected, seating surfaces are restored and clearances are adjusted.
Springs, leaf springs, links, and rubber-metal elements are inspected and replaced as required. Suspension height adjustment and bogie centering are performed to ensure even load distribution.
Measurement of wheel diameter, profile, and ovality is carried out. If necessary, wheel reprofiling, balancing, or replacement is performed. Axle fastening and axlebox bearing condition are monitored.
Inspection of welded joints, fasteners, center pivots, and connecting components. If required, geometry restoration and welding are performed followed by non-destructive testing.
Inspection and repair of brake shoes, cylinders, lever mechanisms, regulators, and air pipelines. Worn components are replaced and brake actuation is adjusted to ensure effective braking.
Bogie defect inspection, replacement of bearings and springs, wheelset reprofiling, and suspension adjustment were performed. Final testing was carried out on a test bench.
Bearings and seals were replaced, axial clearances adjusted, and lubrication performed. Work was completed without removing the locomotive from operation.
Disassembly, defect inspection, frame restoration, replacement of suspension components and brake elements. The bogies passed load testing.
Diagnostic inspection is recommended every 6 months, while full maintenance should be performed at least once per year or after 50,000 km of mileage.
Yes, certain operations (inspection and adjustment of axleboxes, brakes, and suspension) can be performed without removing the bogies, directly on the locomotive.
All completed work is covered by a warranty of 6–12 months, depending on the scope of work and operating conditions.
