Prombudkoliya has specialized in the construction and installation of the railway track superstructure since 2010. We perform a full range of works — from base preparation to the laying of rails, sleepers, and turnouts — ensuring precision, reliability, and long-term durability of the constructed sections.
All works are carried out in accordance with Ukrzaliznytsia regulations, DBN standards, and international quality standards. Prombudkoliya has its own production of sleepers and rail-sleeper grids, which allows us to control quality and optimize delivery timelines.
The railway track superstructure is the structure on which rolling stock moves directly. It absorbs dynamic loads from trains and transfers them to the subgrade. The superstructure includes rails, sleepers, fastenings, ballast, turnouts, and related components. Proper installation of this part of the track is a key factor in the safe operation of a railway line.
Before installing the track superstructure, the route is cleared, soil excavation and compaction are carried out, drainage and water runoff systems are installed, and protective layers and geotextiles are laid. These stages ensure the stability and durability of the track.
Granite crushed stone with a fraction of 25–60 mm is used with layer-by-layer compaction. A ballast prism is formed with precise height and width parameters, ensuring uniform load distribution and stability of the rail-sleeper grid.
The laying of reinforced concrete or wooden sleepers is performed using mechanized methods in compliance with the design geometry. After laying, rails are installed using elastic and bolted fastenings, joint bars and bolts are mounted, and joints are adjusted.
Prombudkoliya installs turnouts of types 1/9, 1/11, 1/18, and others for rails R50–R75. The works include assembly, installation of switching mechanisms, and adjustment of all elements to ensure precise movement of rolling stock.
The final stage includes mechanized alignment, tamping, and stabilization of the track using VPO-3000, VPRS, and similar machines. After completion, track geometry is checked and the facility is commissioned.
Installation of 6 km of track, laying of Sh2 sleepers, R65 rails, and 1/11 turnouts. The works were completed within 45 days, followed by commissioning.
Replacement of rails and sleepers, installation of a new ballast layer, and track stabilization. The result was increased operating speed and reduced vibration.
A full cycle of works was completed — from design to installation of the track superstructure. Reinforced concrete sleepers and elastic fastenings were used to extend the service life of the track.
When modern materials are used and regular maintenance is performed, the service life is 20–25 years.
Yes, Prombudkoliya supplies certified rails, sleepers, fastenings, and ballast of its own production.
Yes, if required, works are performed in stages with minimal impact on train schedules.
