Insulated joint fishplates R-65 — track components designed for joining R-65 rails while simultaneously providing electrical insulation between them. They are used for installing insulated joints in automatic block signalling systems, electric interlocking of turnouts, and automated train traffic control systems.

Description and design

Insulated fishplates R-65 are manufactured in accordance with DSTU 8848:2019 from structural steel with precision geometry matching the R-65 rail profile. Dielectric pads and bushings made of fiberglass laminate, polyamide, or PTFE (fluoroplastic) are installed between the metal elements, preventing metal-to-metal contact. This solution ensures complete electrical insulation and high mechanical strength of the joint.

The fishplate geometry fully corresponds to the R-65 rail profile;
Pads and bushings are made of heat-resistant electrical insulating materials;
Bolt holes are equipped with insulating bushings;
Metal surfaces are treated with anti-corrosion and electrical insulating coatings;
The product maintains its properties at temperatures from −50°C to +60°C.

Application

Insulated R-65 fishplates are installed at rail joints on track sections equipped with signalling, automatic block, and interlocking electrical circuits. They are used on main lines, turnouts, station tracks, and line sections. The fishplates provide electrical separation of track sections without compromising the mechanical strength of the joint.
