Standard: DSTU GOST 24741-81
Product type: Rail expansion joint fishplates
Material: Structural steel 09G2S or 20GL, hot-rolled, with heat treatment and anti-corrosion coating
Technical specifications:
Rail expansion joint fishplates are specialized rail joint components designed to compensate for thermal expansion and contraction of rails caused by temperature fluctuations. They are installed at rail joints and provide a reliable yet flexible connection without loss of track stability or smooth running of rolling stock. They are used on all types of railway lines — mainline, station, industrial, and turnout sections.
Rail expansion joint fishplates are manufactured in accordance with DSTU GOST 24741-81 from high-strength structural steel. Their shape and hole configuration are designed to minimize resistance to longitudinal thermal movement of the rails while maintaining joint strength. The bolt holes are made oval, allowing compensation for longitudinal rail displacement during heating and cooling.
Rail expansion joint fishplates are installed at compensation gaps on R-50, R-65, and R-75 rails. They are used in areas with variable temperature conditions, during continuous welded rail installation, on bridges, viaducts, and turnouts. Applied together with M24 or M27 bolts, nuts, and washers in accordance with GOST 7798 and GOST 6402. They ensure safe passage of rolling stock without impacts or settlement in the joint zone.
