Product type: Rail baseplate R-24
Material: Structural steel St3 or 09G2S, hot-rolled, with heat treatment and anti-corrosion coating
Technical parameters:
R-24 rail baseplate — an element of the railway track superstructure designed for installation under R-24 type rails. It serves to evenly distribute pressure on the sleeper, prevents damage to the timber, and ensures stable rail positioning in the track gauge. It is used on light industrial and access railway tracks, as well as on temporary and construction lines.
The R-24 baseplate is manufactured in accordance with TU U 30.2-31932840-002:2021 (GOST 8142-89) from hot-rolled steel, followed by heat treatment and application of a protective coating. The design consists of a steel plate with a recess for the rail foot and two holes for fastening with rail spikes or screws. The geometry of the baseplate ensures tight contact with the sleeper and prevents rail displacement during operation.
R-24 baseplates are used in the construction and maintenance of light railway tracks, industrial branches, and access lines. They are installed on wooden sleepers and operate in combination with R-24 rails, 14×130 mm rail spikes, or railway screws. They are also used on narrow-gauge and technological tracks of industrial facilities.
