Clamp bolt assembly — an element of railway fastening systems designed to press the rail to the baseplate through a clamp. It is used to fix rails of types R-50, R-65, and R-75 on railway sleepers with various types of baseplates (KB, KBL, KP, etc.). It ensures stable rail positioning and prevents longitudinal and lateral displacement.

Description and design

Clamp bolt assemblies are manufactured in accordance with DSTU GOST 16017:2019 (GOST 16017-79) from high-quality structural steel with heat treatment to ensure high strength. The bolt design includes a cylindrical threaded shank, a square underhead to prevent rotation, a nut, and a spring washer. When assembled, it provides reliable and durable fastening of the clamp to the baseplate and sleeper.

Metric precision thread manufactured in compliance with GOST 24705;
The spring washer prevents self-loosening under vibration;
The material is treated for corrosion protection and extended service life;
Guaranteed tensile strength — at least 80 kN;
Service life — up to 20 years under standard loads.

Application

Clamp bolt assemblies are used in railway fastening systems of types KB, KBL, KP, and similar systems when laying rails R-50, R-65, and R-75. They are applied in construction, major overhaul, and maintenance of mainline, station, and industrial tracks. They provide a strong connection of track superstructure elements that withstand horizontal and vertical loads from rolling stock.
