Used R-43 fishplate is a previously operated track superstructure component intended for secondary use in connecting R-43 type rails. It ensures reliable joint strength during operation on industrial, construction, and temporary railway lines. It is widely used in repair and rehabilitation works when budget optimization is required.

Description and Condition

Fishplates of type R-43 are manufactured in accordance with GOST 19127-73 from structural steel and undergo heat treatment and machining of working surfaces. After track dismantling, the products are sorted, cleaned from rust and contaminants, and subjected to visual and mechanical inspection. Only fishplates without cracks, chips, or deformation, and with residual wear not exceeding 15%, are approved for reuse.

Full conformity to the R-43 rail profile;
Permissible thickness wear up to 2 mm;
Bolt holes free from ovality and corrosion;
Working surfaces cleaned to bare metal;
Inspection to confirm absence of internal cracks and metal defects.

Application

Used R-43 fishplates are applied during railway track repairs on industrial and access tracks, storage yards, and temporary track sections. They are used for connecting R-43 rails with M24×150 bolts and standard washers in accordance with DSTU 11532:2017. Suitable for Category III–V tracks with moderate axle loads.
