Technical specifications:
Hydraulic rail straightener GR-12 is a manual track maintenance tool used for straightening and aligning railway track during installation, repair, and routine maintenance. It enables transverse and longitudinal movement of rails and track panels with high precision and minimal physical effort. The tool is widely used during major repairs, elimination of track misalignment, and alignment of turnouts.
The GR-12 straightener is manufactured in accordance with Technical Specifications (TU) and represents a hydraulic jack with a lever-operated drive. The design includes a cylinder with a plunger, a manual pump, a relief valve, and a working shoe for bearing against the rail. When the manual pump is actuated, pressure is generated and transmitted to the plunger, which moves the rail or track panel.
The GR-12 hydraulic rail straightener is used in the installation and repair of railway tracks, alignment of rail strings, elimination of lateral and longitudinal track displacement, as well as adjustment of turnouts. It is employed by track maintenance crews during major and medium track repairs on station, mainline, and industrial sections.
