K-1 fishplate is a turnout component designed for joint connection of rails within a switch or frog assembly. It provides strength, rigidity, and precise alignment of rail strings, preventing deformation and displacement under dynamic loads.

Description and design

K-1 type fishplates are manufactured in accordance with DSTU GOST 535-79 from high-quality carbon steel. They feature a profiled surface that matches the rail shape and holes for joint bolts. The plates are installed in pairs on both sides of the rail joint, ensuring uniform load distribution and joint rigidity.

Manufactured by hot forging or machining of rolled steel;
The mating surface is ground to ensure tight contact with the rail foot and web;
The number of holes corresponds to the rail type and joint configuration;
Supplied with an anti-corrosion coating or without coating for contact welding.

Application

The K-1 fishplate is used in turnouts with R-50 and R-65 rail types, including frogs and guide rail connections. It is applied during installation and maintenance of turnout devices on station and industrial tracks.
